Mark Andrews is available for book signings, book talks, educational workshops, and public appearances. Mark has 40+ years of experience as an innovator | rehabilitation specialist | special educator | adaptive guide/ instructor/coach | authorpreneur | consultant | speaker.

Educational & Motivational Presentations

Mark has done numerous workshops and presentations. He appears at schools, bookstores, gift shops, holiday events, conventions, meetings and forums in Central Virginia and nationwide.

To date, Meet Me At The Mountain has been well received by audiences in a wide variety of venues - The Virginia Festival of the Book, the SPROUT FILM FESTIVAL Culture! Disability! Talent! — “Making the Invisible Visible.” The Sprout Film Festival which featured films from (Australia, Spain, Great Britain, Canada, Belgium, Canada, and the UnitedStates). MMATM was featured in the New England Ski Museum and NESM catalog.

The MMATM Education Project has been featured at: the US Office of Special Education Programs - Project Directors conference in Washington, DC., a presentation to members of the Virginia State Rehabilitation Council, Richmond, VA.

Meet Me At the Mountain has received print and radio media exposure. MMATM has been presented to a number of elementary school assemblies, as well as special education classes, and church congregations.To name a few, the St. Anne’s Belfield lower school, University of Virginia — Special Education Classes, James Madison University — Graduate School of Occupational Therapy, and the Innisfree Community — a special alternative living community for persons with a variety of developmental disabilities.

Mark is a passionate, energetic speaker who will excite audiences with his personal stories, adaptive outdoor adventures and his love of teaching about the extraordinary potential of persons with differing abilities.

Me At The Mountain is Mark’s first children’s book and children’s education project. The first of its kind, Meet Me At The Mountain is a delightful, inspiring story. Using an interactive multi-sensory approach, the MMATM - Education Project was conceptualized and developed to educate you about how persons with differing abilities often do amazing things to overcome life’s many challenges.

Mark Andrews is the Founder/Executive Director of Therapeutic Adventures, Inc. – a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable education organization.

Mark has authored several publications and provided numerous workshops and training programs about diversity and tolerance, safety, ethics, leadership development, service and volunteerism, adaptive equipment design, environmental accessibility and other adaptive programming topics. Mark has served as a consultant for medical and rehabilitation centers, special camps, therapeutic and special education programs, universities, businesses and non-profit organizations nationally and internationally. Mark has received numerous awards for teaching and service. For his lifelong commitment to volunteer service, Mark received the coveted Jefferson Award – from the American Institute for Public Service.
